How We Work

A clear path through a complicated process

Immigration filings involve multiple agencies, strict deadlines, and paperwork that has to be right the first time. We keep you oriented at every stage.

1

Consultation

We review your immigration history, family ties, and any prior contact with immigration authorities to identify realistic options.

2

Case Strategy

We map out the forms, evidence, and sequence of filings that fit your goals — and flag risks before they become problems.

3

Filing & Preparation

We prepare your petitions and prepare you — for USCIS interviews, consular appointments, or hearings in Immigration Court.

4

Representation

We represent you directly before USCIS, the Houston Immigration Court, and other agencies until your matter is resolved.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common immigration questions

General information about the situations Houston families ask us about most. Every case is different — contact us to talk about yours.

What should I do if I receive a Notice to Appear or deportation notice?
Do not miss any hearing date — missing a hearing can lead to a removal order in your absence. Contact an immigration attorney as soon as possible so your Notice to Appear can be reviewed, possible forms of relief identified, and evidence gathered before your first hearing.
How can I help a family member immigrate to the U.S.?
U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents can petition for certain relatives — spouses, children, parents, and in some cases siblings. The right path depends on your status and your relative's location, and may involve adjustment of status inside the U.S. or consular processing abroad.
What is the process for applying for U.S. citizenship?
Eligible lawful permanent residents may apply for naturalization, usually after 3 or 5 years as a green-card holder, by filing Form N-400, attending a biometrics appointment, passing the English and civics tests, and completing an interview before taking the Oath of Allegiance.
What are waivers of inadmissibility and how do they work?
A waiver asks the government to forgive a ground that would otherwise bar you from a green card or visa — such as unlawful presence or certain misrepresentations. Many waivers require showing that a qualifying U.S. relative would suffer extreme hardship if you were denied.
Can a criminal charge affect my immigration case?
Yes. Even a minor charge can carry serious immigration consequences, including removability or ineligibility for relief. Because criminal and immigration law overlap, we handle both together so that the criminal outcome is evaluated for its effect on your status.
