Deportation & Removal Defense

If you or a loved one has been placed in removal proceedings, you have the right to defend your case. We represent clients before the Immigration Court and at bond hearings.

Overview

Standing between you and deportation

Removal (deportation) proceedings begin when the government issues a Notice to Appear and files it with the Immigration Court. From there, the case moves through master calendar hearings and, if relief is sought, an individual (merits) hearing before an Immigration Judge.

Many people in proceedings are eligible for relief that allows them to remain in the U.S. — such as cancellation of removal, asylum, adjustment of status, or a waiver. The key is identifying the right defense early and building the evidence to support it.

Defenses and relief we pursue

  • Bond hearings seeking release from detention on a reasonable bond.
  • Cancellation of removal for certain long-term residents and non-residents.
  • Asylum & related relief protection for those who fear returning home.
  • Adjustment & waivers green-card relief and waivers raised in court.
Missing a hearing can result in an order of removal in your absence. If you have a court date, contact us right away — deadlines in Immigration Court are strict.
